The Village of Blasdell (pop. 2,900) is located in the Town of Hamburg near the western edge of Erie County. To the north it adjoins the City of Lackawanna, and is within easy reach of the beaches along the Erie lakeshore. It is approximately a 15 minute drive south of Buffalo. Nearby Woodlawn Beach State Park, one of the region's newest parks, offers a sandy beach nearly a mile long, with panoramic views of Lake Erie.
